A Message From Our Pastor

Linda and I have lived in Plain City for nearly 30 years where we raised our family and now have the joy of watching our grandchildren grow up! I first moved to this area to begin a youth ministry in 1978 and though I left youth ministry after a few years, we remained in Plain City and developed a strong connection to this town. I established a business as a carpentry contractor and Linda worked raising a family while working part time as a nurse and nursing instructor.

In the Autumn of 2004, God began restoring His call in our lives to ministry and a few months later, in January 2005, we were asked by John Lieb, senior pastor of the Vineyard at Tuttle Crossing, to consider planting a new church in the Plain City area. During the remainder of my time with the Vineyard at Tuttle Crossing, I pursued and completed training at Vineyard Leadership Institute while receiving ‘on the job’ training as a worship leader, pastoral intern, elder, and small group leader.

Formal training aside, perhaps our greatest training has come out of the context of God’s amazing faithfulness in the realities of life.  We are compelled to proclaim the real presence of a real God because of the reality of His presence and redemptive work in the everyday experiences of our own lives.
